Paul stands before Roman governor Felix

Paul appeared before the Roman governor Felix to face accusations of causing civil unrest and attempting to desecrate the Temple. According to a report by The B.C. Catholic, the orator Tertullus led the prosecution by using flattery to gain favor with Felix. Tertullus described Paul as a ringleader of the Nazarene sect who stirred up trouble among Jews globally.

The prosecution lacked substance because the original accusers from Jerusalem did not appear in person to testify, which was required under Roman law. In response to the charges, Paul maintained a restrained stance, stating that he consistently sought to keep a clear conscience before God and people.
