Diocese of Požega publishes Friday readings

The Diocese of Požega published the liturgical readings for Friday of the twenty-seventh week of the year.

The readings from the diocesan liturgical calendar include 3, 7-14; Ps 110, 1-2. 3-4. 5-6; and Lk 11, 15-26. The Gospel passage features Jesus responding to those who accused him of driving out demons by the power of Beelzebul and those seeking a sign from heaven. In the text, Jesus explains that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand and warns that an unclean spirit returning to a person finds a house swept and put in order only to bring seven other spirits more wicked than itself.
