Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza-Cottolengo and Reale Foundation inaugurate 2 mammografi digitali

Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza-Cottolengo and Reale Foundation inaugurated two new digital mammography machines on Friday, September 11, 2026. The equipment is intended to strengthen early diagnosis and treatment for breast diseases at the Cottolengo Hospital Breast Unit.

The Reale Foundation contributed to the acquisition of the latest generation machines to support the hospital's diagnostic services. In 2024, the hospital's diagnostic senology department provided more than 50,000 services.

Father Carmine Arice, the general superior of the Piccola Casa, thanked the Reale Foundation for the new technology. He noted that the Cottolengo Hospital, founded in 1834 by Saint Giuseppe Benedetto Cottolengo to care for those excluded from medical treatment, maintains a mission to serve all people through healthcare.
