PIE students show impact of giving
Partners in Excellence (PIE) hosted its 30th annual breakfast on September 29 to raise funds for Catholic students within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The event brought together local business leaders to network and learn how scholarship contributions affect students and schools.
During a program emceed by Mark Viviano, school leaders and parents discussed the benefits of the scholarship program. Samantha Shivers-Gudger, a parent of a fourth grade student at Mother Mary Lange Catholic School in Baltimore, said the support helps students prepare to serve their communities in the future. Dr. Mindy Imes, president of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Essex, said the funding allows educators to reach more students and help them develop their talents. Attendees also watched a ukulele class from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School perform at the start of the program.
