Pisa, al Festival della Pace padre Renato Kizito Sesana

Father Renato Kizito Sesana will speak at the Festival of Peace on Monday, September 21, at 9:00 p.m. at the San Frediano university church in Pisa. The Comboni missionary will share his experiences to present a perspective of Africa that moves beyond common narratives of war, poverty, and environmental disasters.

According to Toscana Oggi, the event aims to highlight how millions of people in Africa continue to defend their land and work toward peace and dignity. Simone Allegrini discussed the upcoming visit during a press conference.

Father Sesana has served as a priest since 1970 and holds a degree in political science. His missionary work includes three years in rural Zambia and time spent in the outskirts of Lusaka, where he founded Koinonia to work with street children and promote justice and peace. He also founded the Comboni periodical New People in Nairobi, which remains one of the most widely read Catholic magazines in Africa.
