Pisa, al via domani il Festival della pace

Pisa will host the first edition of the Festival of Peace and Non-violence starting Sunday, September 21. The event includes a gathering of twelve Agesci youth clans at Giardino Scotto to present activities developed during a year of reflection on the common good.

Local leaders Cristiana Barbetta and Gabriele Cristoforetti said the group focused on how to promote the common good in a society that is increasingly divided into homogeneous groups. To address this, twelve youth delegates trained to help build communities that welcome diversity.

The festival continues from Monday morning, September 21, through Tuesday morning, September 22, at the Giuseppe Toniolo auditorium in Piazza Arcivescovado. Students from high schools will participate in meetings with university professors, administrators, and volunteers who work on peace promotion. Andrea Maestrelli, president of the Opera della Primaziale Pisana, and provincial president Massimiliano Angori are scheduled to deliver opening remarks.
