Pisa commemorates victims of first bombing

Pisa commemorated the victims of the city's first bombing on August 31.

The commemoration marked the anniversary of the 1943 attack, when bombs devastated neighborhoods, bridges, factories, and streets in a matter of minutes. The bombing occurred around lunchtime, killing men, women, children, and workers who were either at their jobs or eating with their families.
