POGGIBONSI, INAUGURATO UN NUOVO APPARTAMENTO PER LE ACCOGLIENZE SOCIALI

The Diocese of Siena–Colle di Val d’Elsa–Montalcino inaugurated a new apartment for social hospitality in Poggibonsi to support people facing local hardships and vulnerabilities. The project resulted from a collaboration between the Misericordia of Poggibonsi, Caritas of Poggibonsi, and the Caritas Foundation of the Dioceses of Siena and Montepulciano.

Cardinal Augusto Paolo Lojudice attended the ceremony along with Father Vittorio Giglio, the director of Caritas of Siena and Montepulciano, and Father Gianfranco Poddighe, the local parish priest. Poggibonsi Mayor Susanna Cenni and Jacopo Guercini, the director of the FTSA, also participated in the event. The diocese stated the apartment serves as a concrete response to the needs of the community through cooperation between religious organizations, volunteers, and local institutions.
