Pope forms bond with Castel Gandolfo community

The local community in Castel Gandolfo maintains a long-standing connection with the popes who have used the Palazzo Barberini as a residence for 400 years, according to Father Tadeusz Rozmus.

Speaking after celebrations for Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of the town, the priest of Kostola svätého Tomáša z Villanovy noted that this history has created a strong bond between the residents and the papacy. Father Rozmus said that many people, including nonbelievers, visit the local church and find refreshment for the body and spirit in the area's nature.
