Pope Leo XIV advised Latin American bishops to visit parishes, maintain a life of prayer, and teach clearly in a letter marking the third centenary of the canonization of St. Turibius of Mogrovejo.

The Pope wrote that honoring the memory of St. Turibius requires bishops to imitate his ministry and allow his way of life to challenge their own.
