Pope Leo Praises “Unity in Diversity”. So Why Is the SSPX the Exception?

Pope Leo praised the concept of unity in diversity, referencing the work of Chiara Lubich and the Focolare Movement.

According to columnist Robert Morrison, Lubich sought to increase communion and peace among people of different Churches, various world religions, and those with no religious belief. Lubich stated that the Focolare Movement engages in dialogue with Hindus, Shintoists, Muslims, and Buddhists by seeking truths that unite them. Morrison noted that members of the movement aim to live these shared truths together and show concern for the religious lives of others.
