Pope Leo XIV prays Rosary for peace with hundreds of children at Vatican

Pope Leo XIV will pray the Rosary for peace with hundreds of children at the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens on October 1. The event marks the start of the One Million Children Praying the Rosary initiative, organized by the pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need.

Between 700 and 1,000 children from various schools and parishes in Rome are expected to attend the gathering, which begins at 5:00 P.M. The Pope will join the children later in the afternoon for the prayer.

For the first time, the campaign will run for an entire week from October 1 to October 7. This schedule allows dioceses, parishes, schools, and families across different continents to participate on days that suit their local circumstances while praying for peace and unity. The week of prayer will conclude on October 7, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
