Pope Leo XIV publishes catecheses on Lumen Gentium

The Landelijke Werkgroep Synodaliteit has published a booklet containing nine chapters of catecheses by Pope Leo XIV regarding the Second Vatican Council document Lumen Gentium. This publication is the second part of the Luisterend op weg series, following a previous volume on the document Dei Verbum.

The booklet covers topics such as the Church as the people of God, the role of believers in the faith community, and the shared mission of the Church. It also addresses holiness, service, mission, hope, and the place of Mary in Catholic tradition. Each chapter includes discussion questions intended for use in groups to support faith discussions and reflection on the meaning of Lumen Gentium in the current time.

The booklet is available in print for €3,00 per copy or in a digital version. The Landelijke Werkgroep Synodaliteit is also organizing an inspiration afternoon about synodality in practice in Den Bosch on Friday, October 16, 2026.
