Pope Leo XIV receives Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament

Pope Leo XIV received members of the Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament – Federation of the Holy Spirit during an audience at the Vatican Apostolic Palace on September 5, 2026. The meeting took place as the sisters are on a pilgrimage in Italy to mark the 50th anniversary of the foundation of their federation.

The Pope addressed Mother Alma Ruth del Espíritu Santo and the sisters, noting that their vocation involves a life dedicated to continuous and silent adoration of the Eucharist. He described their presence as a witness to God's love and a response to the human longing to seek God's face.

The federation follows the footsteps of Blessed Mary Magdalene of the Incarnation, who founded the order in 1807. During the meeting, the Pope encouraged the sisters to be weavers of communion through prayer, work, and fraternal sharing.
