Pope Leo XIV receives Pope Leo XIV International Study Center in audience

Pope Leo XIV met with members of the Pope Leo XIV International Study Center during an audience at the Vatican Apostolic Palace on September 18, 2026. The center, which is an initiative of the Augustinian Order, is based in Florence.

The Pope expressed support for the center's goal to engage in dialogue with universities, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and various Church bodies. He noted that the center will collaborate with the Theological Faculty of Central Italy and the Pontifical Patristic Institute Augustinianum. The Pope encouraged the members to focus on the news of God rather than rapid or superficial information.
