Pope to meet with French abuse survivors as critics demand action (AP)

Pope Leo XIV will meet privately with seven survivors of clergy sexual abuse in Lourdes on September 27.

The group includes a person abused by Bernard Preynat, a former priest who was laicized after admitting to abusing 75 boys. Another participant in the meeting has alleged abuse by Abbé Pierre, a priest known for his work with the poor and homeless.
