Pope to Special Olympics: ‘As you know, I too am very fond of sport’

Pope Leo XIV told a delegation from the Special Olympics that he shares their fondness for sports. During his address, the Pope encouraged the group to live holy lives by following the example of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati.

The Pope noted that Frassati loved Jesus and successfully applied the values found in sports to a life of holiness.
