Port Authority Worker’s 9/11 Heroism Became a Journey Toward Faith

Port Authority engineer Paul Carris began a journey toward the diaconate following his actions during the September 11 attacks.

While working in the North Tower on 9/11, Carris helped a coworker descend 71 flights of stairs in an attempt to save her life. According to The Tablet, this experience eventually led him to pursue the diaconate.
