Practical Magic 2

The romantic drama Practical Magic 2, based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 novel The Book of Magic, focuses on the bond between women facing adversity rather than advocating for the occult.

The film follows the Owens family in Massachusetts as they attempt to break a 300-year-old curse. According to the script by Akiva Goldsman, Georgia Pritchett, and Kelly Marcel, any man a female Owens woman professes her love for dies shortly after. The story features sisters Sally, played by Sandra Bullock, and Gillian, played by Nicole Kidman, who have learned to show affection through actions to avoid the curse. Sally also casts a spell on her daughters, Kylie and Antonia, to make them forget the family's magical history.
