Prayer vigils for unborn babies kick off across nation

40 Days for Life began a nationwide campaign of prayer vigils running from Sept. 23 to Nov. 1. The pro-life group conducts these vigils outside abortion clinics across the United States and internationally through prayer, fasting, and community outreach.

Shawn Carney, president and CEO of 40 Days for Life, said the current campaign focuses on opposing abortion pills. The group is also launching a national billboard campaign in cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco to warn against the use of abortion pills and to offer abortion pill reversal. Carney stated that the group has helped save lives nearly 27,000 times and provides medical care and follow-up support to mothers.
