Priopćenje sa Šezdeset i devete sjednice biskupā Zagrebačke crkvene pokrajine

Bishops of the Zagreb Church province met for their 69th session on September 16, 2026, at the Metropolitan Pastoral Institute in Zagreb to discuss Catholic religious education in schools. Archbishop Dražen Kutleša hosted and presided over the meeting, which focused on the spiritual growth of children and young people.

The bishops addressed practical challenges regarding the school system and pastoral work, specifically concerning the enrollment, withdrawal, and re-enrollment of students in religious education classes. These administrative changes often create a need for students to make up missed curriculum content.

The meeting included Cardinal Josip Bozanić, retired Archbishop of Zagreb Vlado Košić, Bishop Vjekoslav Huzjak of Bjelovar-Križevci, Bishop Bože Radoš of Varaždin, and retired Bishop Josip Mrzljak of Varaždin. Auxiliary bishops Ivan Šaško, Mijo Gorski, Vlado Razum, and Marko Kovač also attended.
