Proslava Svetog Križa u Gružu: Kristov križ nam govori da u patnji nismo sami

The parish and Dominican monastery of Svetog Križa in Gružu celebrated their titular feast on Sunday, 20 September. Father Tomislav Kraljević, the provincial of the Hrvatske dominikanske provincije Navještenja Blažene Djevice Marije, led the solemn Mass and procession for the feast of Uzvišenja Svetoga Križa.

During his homily, Father Kraljević told the faithful that the cross is not a celebration of pain, as God does not take pleasure in human suffering. He explained that the cross serves as a sign of how much God loves the world, including people in their sinful and weak states. He described the cross as God's affirmation of humanity, which calls for a response of faith. Father Kraljević encouraged the community to look deeply into the mystery of the cross and to embrace it without fear.
