Construction to restore the church in Cividale is scheduled to begin in early 2027. During a meeting held on September 6 at the Don Giovanni Facchini parish hall, the Diocese of Carpi announced that the Soprintendenza, Agenzia Ricostruzioni, and Servizio Geologico e Sismico have approved the executive project for the post-earthquake restoration.

The meeting included parish priest Jean-Marie Vianney Munyaruyenzi, architect Sandra Losi, engineer Antonio Boccamazzo, architect Anna Mazzoli, and engineer Oreste De Simone.

The project now awaits individual authorizations and the formal confirmation of cost adequacy. These confirmed costs will determine the final public contribution for the work. Once these steps are complete, the diocese will hold a tender process to select a contractor and hand over the site for construction.
