L'Osservatore Romano publishes book review

L'Osservatore Romano published a review by Giovanni Cerro regarding the book "Storia della verità. Corso all’Università di Buffalo, marzo-aprile 1972."

The book collects translated Italian versions of lectures given by Foucault at the University of Buffalo in 1972, reconstructed from original recordings. Cerro notes that the philosopher's central inquiry does not focus on which statements are true, but rather on the procedures a society uses to establish what constitutes truth, including who has the authority to proclaim it and who benefits from it.
