Four bishops meet on Garda

Four bishops met in Riva del Garda on September 28 to discuss the management and protection of religious property and how to welcome tourists seeking spirituality.

The meeting, titled "The Heritage of Ecclesiastical Entities: The Beauty that Welcomes," brought together bishops Domenico Pompili of Verona, Pierantonio Tremolada of Brescia, Lauro Tisi of Trento, and Marco Busca of Mantova. They met with local administrators, experts, and local priests, including Riva del Garda priest Dario Silvello, to address the needs of the Garda region, which receives tens of thousands of international visitors annually. Maurizio Tira, a professor from the University of Brescia, also participated in the discussions.

Archbishop Lauro Tisi proposed forming a working group among the involved dioceses to continue these discussions. He suggested sharing experiences and successful practices online to address the large-scale challenges facing the territory.
