R.-K. Kerk in Nederland warns of email scams

The R.-K. Kerk in Nederland is warning parishes to be alert after scammers sent emails requesting personal data.

The secretariat of the Church reported that several parishes recently received messages asking for the personal information of church members or volunteers. Senders sometimes pretend to be a parish priest or a member of a parish board.

While these emails may appear convincing, the Church advises people to remain cautious and verify the identity of the sender before responding to such requests.
