Race for Vocations celebrates ‘incredible’ third year
Organizers of the Race for Vocations reported the third annual event was a success following the race held on Oct. 3. Anna Bragin, writing on behalf of the Race for Vocations team, thanked the runners, walkers, volunteers, and donors who supported the weekend to celebrate and support holy vocations in the community.
The event challenges participants to prepare both physically and spiritually through training. During this preparation, participants pray for vocations and share intentions with one another. In this third year, Bragin reported that more than 100 people participated in training and 55 prayer intentions were offered during race preparation.
The race weekend included support from Fr. Tyler Tenbarge on logistics and Fr. Alex Zenthoefer, who served as a water station captain and Mass celebrant. The St. Benedict Cathedral Knights of Columbus also assisted with the event.
