Raffigurare Cristo, la Sindone nella storia delle immagini

The Gallerie d'Italia in Turin will host a conference on October 16 to trace the history of how Christ has been depicted, ranging from the catacombs to icons and representations of the Sindone.

Gian Maria Zaccone, director of the Centro Internazionale di Studi sulla Sindone, will explain the theological roots, devotional meaning, and spread of these images. The event precedes the 450 years since the arrival of the Sindone in Turin, which occurs in 2028.
