Rakhis for Creation

Students at Navjyoti School in Surkhet, Nepal, tied handmade, environmentally friendly Rakhis to trees and plants on their campus to celebrate the Season of Creation. Members of the school's Eco Club used the traditional Raksha Bandhan festival, which signifies a bond of protection, to express gratitude for nature and commit to environmental care.

The activity followed a prayer and served as part of the school's observance of the Season of Creation, an annual period running from September 1 through October 4. The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth administer Navjyoti School.
