Diocese of Salamanca's Ranquines celebrates nine years

The Ranquines mental health day center celebrated its ninth anniversary on September 28, marking the presentation of its 2025-2026 annual report. The project, which operates through Cáritas of the Diocese of Salamanca, supports people with severe mental disorders and social integration difficulties.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, the center assisted 96 people, including 78 active participants. Center coordinator Gema Romero stated that the project focused on strengthening social bonds as a foundation for recovery.

José Manuel Lázaro, the director of Cáritas of Salamanca, said the center exists because of the Church's mission and emphasized that the people served are the central reason for the project's existence. The anniversary theme was "From shared suffering to collective health."
