A survey conducted by RCF Notre Dame, Aleteia, and Famille Chrétienne shows that more than half of French respondents want Pope Leo XIV to speak about global peace and conflicts. According to the results, this topic is a higher priority for respondents than the fight against sexual abuse in the Church, which received 15% interest, or the welcoming of catechumens, which received 12%.

The survey findings were discussed by Etienne Pepin, editor in chief, and Bishop Matthieu Rouge of Nanterre. The data comes ten days before the Pope's scheduled visit to France. The report also notes that many French people are still not well acquainted with Pope Leo XIV.
