Recognizing Christ in Our Neighbors — September 2026

Archbishop August Hagemann traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for the Haitian community during a meeting with members of the U.S. Senate and their staff.

The meeting was organized by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Archbishop Hagemann joined Cardinal Chibly Langlois from Les Cayes, Haiti, Archbishop Wenski from Miami, Bishop Fabre from Charleston, SC, and Fr. Jazon, a Haitian priest from Camden, NJ.
