Dom Lindomar Rocha Mota calls for justice in Brazil

Bishop Lindomar Rocha Mota of São Luís de Montes Belos has called for the refounding of Brazil by submitting its fundamental institutions to the pursuit of justice.

In an article published by the CNBB, the bishop stated that Brazil needs to evaluate not only whether its institutions function, but whom they serve. He argued that a just society cannot be organized around the interests of a specific group. Instead, he suggested that the country must be rebuilt by viewing society from the perspective of those at the margins.
