Relics of St. Bernadette coming to Co-Cathedral Oct. 10-11

Relics of St. Bernadette Soubirous will visit St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral in Freehold on October 10 and 11. The Diocese of Trenton will receive the relics at 12 p.m. on October 10 as part of a yearlong tour of Catholic communities across the United States.

The schedule for the visit includes veneration of the relics from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 10, followed by Mass and confession opportunities at 4:30 p.m. A second period of veneration runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., concluding with prayer and a candlelight Rosary. On October 11, veneration occurs between Masses from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a final session from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Confessions are scheduled from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and a farewell takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes announced in August that this 2026-27 tour aims to bring the saint to various locations in America. St. Bernadette was a 19th-century French visionary who reported 18 apparitions of Mary in Lourdes in 1858.
