Remembering Sister Kathleen McNulty, former teacher in Delran high school

Sister Kathleen McNulty, a former teacher at Holy Cross High School in Delran, died on September 25. A member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary community, she will have funeral services on October 2 at the Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Born in Scranton in 1929, Sister Kathleen joined the IHM community in 1947 and made her final profession of vows in 1953. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Marywood College. Her teaching career spanned schools in North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Beyond the classroom, Sister Kathleen served as a director and editor at Marywood College and as the director of strategic planning for the Diocese of Scranton. She also held various roles within her religious community. She is survived by two nephews, their spouses, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Burial will take place at St. Catherine Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Sisters of IHM Retirement Fund in Scranton.
