Results of National Survey on the Order of Christian Funerals

The USCCB Committee on Divine Worship and the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions released results from a national survey regarding the Order of Christian Funerals.

The survey collected responses from nearly 1,500 people representing dioceses across the country between February and April 2026. Participants included bishops, priests, deacons, lay ministers, and pastoral musicians. The study asked these individuals to describe how they minister to the dying and those who are bereaved.
