Bishop Włodzimierz Juszczak addressed attendees during a prayer service at the monument to the victims of the former Central Labour Camp in Jaworzno. The memorial event honored those who suffered at the site approximately eighty years ago.

The bishop welcomed members of the Ukrainian community in Poland, relatives of former concentration camp prisoners, and youth traveling from Biały Bór. He also recognized local officials, including the Ukrainian Consul in Kraków, the Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, and representatives from the Jaworzno city government.

Bishop Juszczak specifically thanked the Ukrainian community in Upper Silesia, members of the Katowice parish, and the Katowice group of the Union of Ukrainians in Poland for their long-term work in organizing these annual memorial ceremonies.
