Saint-Brieuc. Marche fraternelle pour la paix de la mosquée à la cathédrale

The Diocese of Saint-Brieuc, the Saint-Brieuc mosque, and the United Protestant Church of Côtes d'Armor will co-organize a fraternal march for peace on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The event marks the 40th anniversary of the 1986 interreligious meeting in Assisi attended by Pope John Paul II.

The march begins at the mosque at 3 p.m., continues with a stop at the Protestant temple at 4 p.m., and concludes at Saint-Etienne Cathedral at 5 p.m. Participants can visit different places of worship to meet, discover, and share experiences. The walk will end with a social gathering on the cathedral plaza.

Organizers noted that people may join the various meeting points by foot or by car. Those with mobility difficulties are asked to contact the organizers directly for assistance.
