Diocese of Salamanca to celebrate World Migrant and Refugee Day

The Diocese of Salamanca will celebrate the World Day of the Migrant and Refugee with a Mass at the Our Lady of Fatima parish this Sunday, September 27, at 19:30.

The diocesan migrant ministry prepared the celebration to pray for migrants and refugees, thank those who welcome them, and renew the commitment to keep communities open and welcoming, according to José Miguel González, the diocesan head of migrant ministry.

This year's theme, “Even one of these little ones,” focuses on migrant and refugee children and adolescents. In a message for the day, Pope Leo XIV noted that many minors are forced to leave their homes due to war, poverty, violence, and environmental disasters.
