The Dioceses of Frosinone–Veroli–Ferentino and Anagni–Alatri are beginning a month of celebrations and memories dedicated to St. John Paul II in the Ciociaria region.

The commemorations highlight the pope's visit to the area five days after the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, a period when many feared further attacks against global leaders or targets in Rome and the Vatican.
