San Matteo, apostolo ed evangelista

The Diocese of Milano has released the liturgical readings for the feast of San Matteo, apostolo ed evangelista. The readings include a passage from At 1, 12-14 describing the apostles returning to Jerusalem and gathering in an upper room to pray together.

The liturgy features Sal 18 (19), which describes the word of salvation and the glory of God resonating throughout the world. The collection also includes a prayer asking for the grace to respond to the Christian vocation and to follow God faithfully.
