Sanremo celebra i suoi Patroni: la Madonna del Rosario e San Romolo

The Christian community in Sanremo will celebrate its patron saints, Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Romolo, throughout October. This year's festivities for Our Lady of the Rosary mark the 80th anniversary of her coronation and the 295th anniversary of her proclamation as the patron of the city.

Preparations begin with a novena from Friday, September 25, to Saturday, October 3. During this time, the community will gather at the Basilica Concattedrale di San Siro for the Holy Rosary and Vespers at 17.15, followed by the Celebration of the Eucharist at 18.15. The celebrations culminate on Sunday, October 4, with the Supplica alla Madonna di Pompei at 12.00. At 17.15, Vespers will precede a solemn procession with the statue of the Madonna Regina del Santo Rosario, followed by a Solemn Pontifical Mass at 18.15. Bishop Antonio Suetta will preside over the Mass with the participation of the city's clergy.

The celebrations continue on Tuesday, October 13, for the Solemnity of Saint Romolo, Bishop and Patron of the City of Sanremo. Bishop Suetta will preside over a Solemn Pontifical Mass at 10.30, which includes the offering of a votive candle to the patron saint.
