Santa Hildegarda de Bingen

The Archdiocese of Morelia commemorated the feast of Santa Hildegarda de Bingen on September 17.

Born in 1098 in Bermersheim, Germany, to a noble family, Hildegard experienced mystical visions and divine light during her early childhood. She kept these experiences secret for much of her youth. At age 8, she was offered to the Disibodenberg Benedictine monastery to receive her spiritual formation.
