Santa Teresa de Calcuta

The Diocese of Sololá–Chimaltenango honored Saint Teresa of Calcutta on September 5, 2026.

The diocese shared reflections on the saint's identity and vocation. According to the diocese, Mother Teresa described herself as having Albanian blood and Indian citizenship, while identifying as a Catholic nun who belonged to the world through her vocation and to the Heart of Jesus through her heart. The diocese noted her small stature and her firm faith.
