Saturday September 26th: The Truth about Suffering

The Diocese of Port of Spain shared a reflection on the nature of suffering on Saturday, September 26.

Drawing from the Gospel of Luke 9:43-45, the Diocese noted that the disciples experienced both amazement at the power of Jesus and confusion regarding his prediction that he would be handed over to men. The reflection suggests that feeling confused by hardship does not necessarily mean a person lacks faith, but rather that God's ways may exceed human expectations.

The Diocese encouraged people to bring their questions and pain honestly to Jesus through simple prayer, even when circumstances are difficult to understand.
