Christian voters in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern supported the SPD more than the AfD during the state election, according to an analysis by the Forschungsgruppe Wahlen.

The data, which was exclusively obtained by the KNA, shows that the AfD received 31 percent of the votes among Christian voters across all denominations. This is lower than the party's overall election result of 38.2 percent.

Voting patterns for the SPD varied by denomination. Catholic voters gave the SPD 33 percent of their votes, while Protestant voters gave the party 40 percent.
