Se abre el plazo de inscripción para el Catecumenado de Adultos

The Archdiocese of Oviedo has opened registration for its adult catechesis program, which helps adults prepare for the sacraments of Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation.

Artemio Grande, the diocesan official in charge of the program, said the course is for people aged 18 or older who have not received one or all of these sacraments. Those seeking baptism will follow a curriculum of 49 topics spread over two years. Those seeking only confirmation will complete a single course running from October to May. The teaching follows the adult catechism recently published by the Episcopal Conference.

Catechesis sessions across the diocese generally begin during the second half of October. Interested individuals should contact their local parish for information, as all pastoral units have received guidance to help priests assist those seeking to enroll. Last May, 372 adults received confirmation at the Cathedral, including 22 people who also received baptism and their first communion.
