Ursuline sisters in Erfurt celebrated the anniversary of their convent's founding on September 16 with a gathering of friends, supporters, and guests. The event focused on the motto of order founder Angela Merici: to be open, benevolent, and careful.

During the celebration, Sister Judith Reis from Straubing gave a presentation on how the values of the order apply to modern life. The sisters also shared their intention to establish the Ursuline Convent Erfurt Foundation to ensure the monastery continues to serve as a place of faith.

The sisters have lived at the Erfurt Anger since 1667. The anniversary program included evening prayer, a reading of the historical founding document by Sister Gertrudis, and musical performances by Sofia Hofmann, Bernadette Binkert, Hannah Rießland, and organist Matthias Böhm.
