Seniorenhilfe SMMP discusses Pflegeneuordnungsgesetz with Dirk Wiese

Seniorenhilfe SMMP met with Dirk Wiese on September 14, 2026, to discuss the draft Pflegeneuordnungsgesetz. The company expressed concerns that the proposal could deprive people in need of care of familiar counseling services.

Under the draft, the counseling services currently provided by outpatient services would end in late 2027. Instead, care insurance funds and Pflegestützpunkte would provide counseling. Frank Pfeffer, managing director of Seniorenhilfe SMMP, stated that insurance funds and Pflegestützpunkte lack practical experience compared to outpatient services. Pfeffer also estimated a revenue decrease of around 20 percent.

The meeting at Bergkloster Bestwig included Pfeffer and regional managers Sylvia Metche and Derya Schnathmann. The group met with Wiese following a written communication from the company. The draft has not been decided.
