Serbia: le reazioni alla morte di Mladić

Serbian authorities have brought the body of Ratko Mladic to Belgrade following his death. A government plane transported the former commander, who was sentenced to life in prison for genocide and other war crimes, including his role in the 1995 Srebrenica genocide.

Mladic's son announced that national funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2026. Upon arrival in Belgrade, the body was received with military honors.

The veneration of Mladic by portions of the public in Serbia and Republika Srpska continues to cause tension. While some segments of society view him as a hero, his conviction by international justice remains a point of contention.
